Pastors and community leaders are praying and dreaming of even more unified efforts to serve the community, share the Good News, and enhance the ongoing city gospel movement in Southwest Florida.
Previous South Florida Festivals
2021 Spacecoast Cityfest
After two years of collaborative work, more than 200 churches and organizations joined forces to bring hope and transformation to their region. Together, they hosted dozens of outreaches and gatherings, training thousands of believers in personal evangelism and new believer follow-up. As a result, over 14,000 people were reached in person with the Good News, while tens of thousands more were impacted through digital broadcasts. Most powerfully, these efforts led to thousands of individuals making life-changing decisions to follow Jesus Christ.
“We were able to use Andrew’s Good Friday message here at The Grove, and it was a great experience—2,400 total views! We added an intro, a worship song, and a dramatic short video before Andrew’s message, and everything came together beautifully.” — Pastor Brad Russell
2007 Tampa Bay festival
The Tampa Bay Festival was a powerful movement of unity and purpose, with 535 churches coming together to mobilize the Christian community to serve their neighbors and share the Good News. The festival drew an incredible crowd of over 140,000 people, and throughout the week, 3,471 individuals made life-changing commitments to follow Jesus.
Mayor Rick Baker of St. Petersburg captured the heart of the event when he said, “There’s only so much government can do for a community. It can’t impact character. That’s why it’s important to have festivals like this in our city.”
2006 Orlando Festival
More than 650 churches united to bring Orlando a two-day festival that welcomed over 100,000 attendees! The celebration featured fun-filled kids’ play areas, an interactive sports zone, and a week of community service projects that built momentum leading into the festival weekend.
“It was a glorious weekend, with Orlando offering a warm welcome and perfect weather,” said Luis Palau. “Thanks to the city’s incredible diversity, we had the opportunity to share the Good News with tens of thousands of people—crossing ethnic, economic, and denominational boundaries.”
2003 Beachfest in Ft. Lauderdale
In March 2003, Beachfest drew an incredible crowd of over 300,000 people in just two days! Volunteers eagerly stepped up, receiving training in friendship evangelism to support those who responded to Jesus. But their impact didn’t stop there—volunteers also built six Habitat for Humanity homes, cleaned up public beaches, and participated in many other powerful acts of service!
By the end of the week, more than 10,000 people had made life-changing decisions to follow Jesus. It was a remarkable display of love in action, made possible by the passionate efforts of the local church and their partnership with Palau.
